Lifelong learning is the “ongoing, voluntary, and self-motivated” pursuit of knowledge for either personal or professional reasons. Therefore, it not only enhances social inclusion, active citizenship, and personal development, but also self-sustainability, as well as competitiveness and employability.

The Many Benefits of Lifelong Learning

  • It Can Help You Succeed at Your Job. …
  • It Can Help Your Brain Stay Healthy. …
  • It Can Help You Stay Connected. …
  • It Can Help You Stay Fulfilled. …
  • It Can Help You Be Happier. …
  • It’s Easier Than Ever to Engage in Lifelong Learning.

Learning and implementing new software and other technologies benefits your business by making it more productive. It also makes a business competitive. Some people are naturally slow to adapt to new technologies. Some are even resistant.

But if you combine writing and communication skills with an understanding of technology, your value as an employee increases significantly. More importantly, your ability to gain the trust of the people you work with increases significantly, too. You don’t need to be an expert.

With tech skills, you can learn to diagnose and fix a lot of problems yourself. If you get the basics, and more importantly, if you’re comfortable with technology, the solution to a lot of your tech problems is just a Google search away.
